Lake Powell lies within two states - Utah & Arizona. The laws of each state apply within its own boundaries. If you're planning on fishing in both states, then you will need a license from each state, or a stamp that extends your license from one state to another. Kayaks and canoes are a great way to explore the narrow canyons of the lake. Lake Powell's crystal blue waters provide a beautiful environment for swimming, waterskiing, scuba diving, & other aquatic sports. Yet, in spite of Lake Powell's huge size, the lake makes up only 13 percent of Glen Canyon's 1.25 million acres. There are many unmarked trails that wind their way around the lake.
